detective-pookie-dixon well there was of course a lot of people and I arrived earlier so I was one of the first in the line. The people working there gave us a little paper to write our name on it.
When I arrived on the table to pay, his team told me he didn’t personalize his autograph so I told myself “ok it’s fine..at least I’m meeting him”I really didn’t like his team. They were rude and rushed us. When I arrived in front of him it was like:
Matt: Hi nice to meet you
Matt: *signs my book* thank you
Me: thank you
And that was it..I was upset cause you know I paid 110$ to meet him and have his autograph and it’s not even personalized. Also, I arrived at 9:30 and he was only there at noon. So yeah…im upset lol
Oh honey, that is awful. I am really sorry about that. :( You have every right to be upset because for such an amount of money you would expect they would pay you at least 5 minutes or just make the experience worth it somehow by at least trying to make a small conversation.
I have never been to a con to meet someone before, but I really do feel you because that amount of money would be A LOT for me to pay to meet someone I adore and to have it turn out this way would make me disappointed. And I really wish I could offer you more… but I kinda hate the way these cons work, especially if it was a bigger one - I read that this happens with TWD cast as well if the con is huge and there are many people waiting for line - they have limited time and have to take in as many people who paid as possible and that is why they rush them and don’t even let you talk to the person you paid to meet for at least a few minutes. That also explains why the team was rude because you know, they have orders to get the line moving with limited time and to hear you were there earlier and it still turned out this way really makes me sad for you. :(
I know the actors have to follow the rules, too, but I wish they would understand what it means to us to meet them and all of them should try to turn the experience into something special, even if it lasted for a minute, you should feel like the center of their universe for that minute. At least that’s what I would be doing if I was famous - the least I could do for the people that paid and travelled to meet me was to hug them, ask them about their lives, thank them for coming and just try to turn all my attention to them for that few minutes.
I would so hug you right now, sweetie.
Thank you very much! :) You’re sweet!
I understand there was a lot of people and he couldnt really talk to all of us more than two minutes, but you know at least he could’ve write my name on the picture and shook my hand..what pisses me off the most is that shortly after that I saw a guy with an autograph and it was fucking personalized!! Anyway.. it’s done!
I bought a photo op with him later that day. He made it worth! (paid 130$ for that) I was happy :) I get to touch him huhu and he took my friend’s sonic screwdriver for the picture and he was really nice!
I had a great time, but the highlight of my three days at fan expo was Michael Rooker. He was a gentleman!! He held my hand while talking to me. I told him I did 12 hours of bus just to see him and hugged me and kissed my cheek afterwards. Im sure I had heart in my eyes when I walked away from his table aha
Before he arrived, we got to wait at his table, like we were sitting where he would sit with his manager and his assistant. She told us he wouldn’t be there before 5pm and it was 2pm. So they invited us to sit with them. These two woman were really nice to us and I got to prepare his table, help his manager with the pictures to sign, it was beyond my expectations!! I’ll remember this experience all my life! :)
